Meet the Chef...
We’re delighted to introduce our new Head Chef, Steven Chandler. With over 30 years of experience in the industry.
Steven was classically trained in North London before going on to own and run two successful restaurants in Goa, India for five years—both of which were proudly recognised in The Rough Guide and Lonely Planet.
More recently, he led a restaurant to win the Yorkshire Life East Coast Restaurant of the Year award.
Steven’s vision for The View is simple: to deliver beautifully presented, expertly cooked dishes at affordable prices.
Guests can also look forward to seeing his exceptional talent shine through in our seafood offerings, where his passion and expertise truly come to life.

We’d always advise to book a table in advance, as The View is proving incredibly popular since its refurbishment in 2020 as an attractive, first-floor dining experience. We use local suppliers, and cater for special dietry requirements.
